Free Assessment Rides - 10th August

The 2008 Autumn course starts on in September and in preparation for this we will be holding another Assessment Day on Sunday 10th August, between 10am & 4pm .

The event will be held at Broxton Picnic Area, junction A534 & A41, and members of the group will be on hand to discuss any issues with the public and Observers will be undertaking free assessment rides. The observed rides will last approximately 45 minutes, to include pre and post ride briefings

Curry & Skittles Night 18th July 2008

With no expenses spared, your loyal committee is organising the first (and hopefully not the last!) curry & skittles night.
The venue is the Bickerton Poacher on the A534 between Nantwich & Broxton and the date will be 18th July 2008.
We have hired the skittle alley for the evening and the only cost to your good selves is the price of a pub curry and your drinks. The most the curry will cost is £5!

The evening will commence at approx. 7.45pm and is sure to be a popular event in the SCAM calendar.

The event is open to all paid up members and associate members and their partners........the more the merrier! So let's poppadom down to the SCAM Curry & Skittles night 2008 - you can even bring your naan (get it?)

Mike Blackmore Memorial Ride Out - 31st July 7pm

June is a mixture of joy and sadness, it was two years ago that we lost Mike Blackmore, an enthusiastic member who was up for anything and determined to see the group go from strength to strength.

As a mark of respect and to honour Mike’s memory we are conducting the Mike Blackmore memorial ride on our social evening, on the last Thursday of the July, there will be a £5 donation from each rider to donate to The Air Ambulance in Mike’s memory, this will be collected on the night, if you wish to give more please do. Members and friends welcome

I hope there will be a good turn out, this will depart from Aldi Car Park at 7pm sharp and will last approx two hours ending at the Hawk Haslington for the social evening..................................Chris Steel

An Evening with Julian Ryder

Crewe Library presents on Saturday 19th January 2008 @ 7.30pm an Evening with Julian Ryder , British Eurosport MotoGP Commentator & Author of several books, and a Motorcycle Journalist for 25 years.

Tickets are £3.00 per person with half of Ticket proceeds being donated to Riders for Health Charity.
